Fun with the cousins

It didn't take long for Zachary and Shelby Grace to warm up to their cousins. It is so much fun to watch them interact and play with each other. Now that they are all older, Zachary, Shane and Samantha are enjoying playing with each other. Zachary even spent the night at his cousins house without mom and dad. What a fun time!

Zachary on the Beach

It has been so much fun to watch Zachary explore the beach this summer. He is not afraid of the water like he used to be and could spend most of his day at the beach. We have been going to beaches that are man made coves so there are not a lot of waves. The beaches are like swimming pools. Zachary loves walking around in the water and doesn't even need floaties. He has turned about 10 shades darker in the short time we have been here and we are all so jealous of his beautiful skin. Hawaii looks beautiful on Zachary!

Silly faces on the beach

Enjoying a spam musabi- rice, spam and seaweed- He didn't care much for the spam but enjoys the seaweed and rice as always.

The tree we sat under kept dropping it's flowers on us so Zachary side to throw the flowers back at the tree. :)

Shelby Grace on the Beach

Shelby Grace has loved Hawaii. She is a little fish in the water and we can't keep her out of the sand. Or is that keep the sand out of her mouth? I have finally given up on trying to keep her from eating the sand because it is almost impossible. She also has enjoyed the water but not just to play in. She splashes in the water and then licks her hands. I guess she has created a new snack- "Salt n' Sand." She does love being outside and looks pretty adorable in her swimsuit. One day she will be jealous of her brother whose skin is dark as can be already. Poor Shelby Grace has inherited Mommy's pastey white skin.

Pigtails

Have I told you I just love having a cute little girl?

Happy Birthday Nina!

Happy Birthday to sweet little girl! Nina turned 4! Ok not quite yet but she had her birthday early so we could all celebrate with her. She had her birthday at the Daejon Arboretum. It was a beautiful place. Makes you forget that you are in a big city when you go here.

The playground was awesome!

Blow out those candles Nina!
Water gun fight

Water relays
Then off to the highlight- the fountains!

Zachary and Seth Buddy walking through the gardens.

Nina and Zachary under her new umbrella.

Strike a pose Zachary and Tavin!
Family picture at the top of the rock hill- I'd call it a mountain but it's not really that big. Behind us is the city of Daejeon.

What a fun party! Shelby Grace- out!

Hawaii here we come!

Happy Birthday Seth!

We got to celebrate Seth Buddy turning four a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun at his Thomas swimming party. Happy Birthday Seth buddy!

Shelby Grace chowed down on some watermelon.

Zachary and Seth have matching swimsuits.

Shelby Grace loved riding her first bike. Check out that smile!

Water slide!

At the end of the party, we found Seth and Zachary picking the icing off the left over cake. We decided that the next party we just need to serve the bowl of icing- forget the cake!

Gotcha!

Online translators- Helpful or hindrance?

We got this note on our door today so I decided to try and translate it. Here it is in Korean-

안녕하십까?부재중이라 도시가스 검침을 못하였습니다.가스계량기를 보시고 전화주시면 (일요일,공휴일도 가능) 감사하겠습니다.연락이 없으면 추정량이 고지됩니다.

This is what the Bablefish translator on Yahoo said it meant-

Goodbye under ten peels? The absent middle ear could not a city gas meter inspection. Will see the gas meter and transformation staring if (Sunday, holiday possibility) will thank. When there is not liaison and the weight fixed quantity becomes the highland.

Try #2- Babylon translator

"Good morning,? in absentia black, saliva, Kukdong City Gas. The gas meters, and if you called me (Sundays, national holidays,) would be appreciated. If you don't hear the amount of estimated it.

Hmmmmm....I figured it was from the gas man but can't say this is really helpful :) I guess you get what you pay for, especially when it is free. Another reason to focus on learning Korean this summer. :)

I guess for today I will say- Goodbye under ten peels!
